Questions
How do sessions lock my apps?
When you start a session, Miki uses Apple's Screen Time to cover the apps you picked. If you open one, you'll see Miki instead, with how long is left.
The lock lifts by itself when the timer ends. This works even if you close Miki.
Miki needs Screen Time access to do this. You can allow it in Settings, then Screen Time. Locking only works on a real iPhone.
How do I end a session early?
Tap End session in Miki. You can also tap End session on the screen that covers a locked app.
Ending early is okay. Nothing is logged and nothing is taken away.
How do I restore from iCloud?
Sign in to iCloud on your new iPhone, then install Miki. Miki finds your backup and asks, "Welcome back. Restore Miki's album?" Tap Restore.
If your phone already has its own album and iCloud has a newer one, Miki asks which to keep. It never replaces anything without asking.
Your picked apps don't move to a new phone. Pick them again in Miki after you restore.
If Miki says "Backup off", sign in to iCloud in Settings.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Apple handles subscriptions, so you manage them in iOS Settings:
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Miki, then change your plan or cancel.
Miki costs US$3.99 a month or US$29.99 a year. The App Store shows the price in your currency. The yearly plan starts with a free week, and Miki reminds you on day 5. Cancel before day 7 and you won't be charged.
New phone? Tap Restore Purchases on Miki's subscription screen.
Where is my data kept?
On your iPhone and in your own private iCloud. There's no account and no tracking. Read the privacy policy for details.
If you're struggling
Miki is not a medical or emergency service. It can't give advice or help in a crisis.
